Chill out after your journey, enjoy tea or coffee with cake or scones in your lounge or garden. Later you could watch the birds or spot a Muntjac deer and plan your stay using our books and maps. In the evening, enjoy some of the clearest night skies in England and listen to the owls hooting.
Our rooms are warm and pampering, but please ask if you have any requests, for example if you prefer your duvet to be allergy free.

For breakfast, we offer a choice of a hearty full English with preserves and home-made bread or a lighter continental option. Breakfasts are a relaxed affair, starting at 8.30am and available until 10 if you would like a lie in.

Our ingredients are locally sourced, or secured from artisan butchers. All the sausages are made and tied in the traditional way using natural casings and are reared to traditional methods.

We ask guests to complete a menu the night before to help us plan, but if there is something you would particularly like please let us know in advance of your stay and we’ll do our best to serve it for you. We supply soya milk, decaffeinated coffee or tea or other alternatives. Please request these in advance of your stay. We are happy to accommodate special diets and allergies, but please be aware that we do use nuts in our kitchen.
We offer a full four course evening meal for only £20pp. The Marsham Arms, The Fox or The Chequers restaurants/pubs are just two or three miles away.
