We had a well earned rest today and spent some quality time in our beautiful city.
Trawling down Elm Hill and along the river with the sun shining- absolute bliss.
This was followed by a sneaky preview of the film, “Spy” which entertained us before a lovely meal in Oliver’s, the restaurant, “Upstairs in Bedford’s” which is a stunning 17th Century venue for drinks or a meal. Mr. Luxury Holiday
Cottage had slow cooked local pork and I had sea bass and scallops. It’s well worth a visit.

Our grounds are so picturesque. Our acid loving plants include some of the showiest and best loved Spring shrubs including Magnolias, Camellias, Azaleas and Rhododendrons as well as Japanese Acer trees. A full walk around the grounds is a must for every visitor.
